• The drive belt can dry out with age and use, and become frayed to cause a thumping noise every time the drum turns.
• A squeaking or squealing noise may indicate the bearing has worn. 
• If your dryer is making a squealing or thumping noise, one or more drum rollers may have worn flat, broken, or maybe binding.

Dryer doesn’t spin

There are a few reasons why your dryer might not be spinning, but the most common is a broken drive belt. The good news is that it’s a pretty easy fix—usually just needs to be replaced.

The other common reasons are worn drum rollers or roller axles. If this happens, it could cause some serious damage to your dryer and should be repaired as soon as possible.

The dryer takes a long time to dry clothes

If you’re finding that your dryer takes forever to dry your clothes, there are a few reasons why.
First, the lint screen may be clogged with debris. If this is the case, you’ll need to clean it out before continuing.
Second, if the door seal is missing or broken, heat will leak from the drum and slow down drying time.
Third, if your blower wheel is defective or broken, it won’t push air through your ducts as quickly as it should, causing an increase in drying time.
Finally, if your heating element is dirty or burnt out (which can happen over time), it won’t heat up properly and will take longer for your clothes to dry.
